**Job Description** This is a senior, hands-on engineering role requiring deep expertise in query language semantics, compiler techniques, and query optimization, along with strong proficiency in C and Java. You will design and implement translation, rewriting, and optimization logic that ensures semantic correctness, high performance, and scalability across complex workloads. In addition to architectural design and feature development, responsibilities include writing production-quality code, developing and maintaining comprehensive unit and regression tests, debugging and resolving complex issues, performing performance analysis, and supporting critical customer escalations. You will work within a small, highly technical team, where individual impact is significant. We are looking for a technical standout who combines architectural depth with strong collaboration skills, ownership mindset, and the ability to contribute effectively in a close-knit, high-performance environment. **Responsibilities** As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Regular customer engagements, for example to understand their use case, troubleshoot performance issues, etc is part of the job.
