RESPONSIBILITIES: + Serve as a point of contact for assigned Commercial, Industrial and Retail City accounts, ensuring timely and accurate communication for customer requests. + Establish and maintain positive relationships, internally and externally, to promote company goals. + Facilitate franchise agreements with retail cities, educate customers on available rate structures and assist them in selecting the most cost-effective options, and respond promptly to billing questions and inquiries. + Promote Business programs through organization of events, activities and presentations to internal and external stakeholders. + Provide technical assistance to customers considering energy efficiency upgrades. + Assist in development of Minnesota Power’s Business Efficiency Program. + Research industry trends and technology advancements related to commercial/industrial facilities. + My perform other duties as assigned. + This position may require travel throughout our service area, including Silver Bay, Hinckley, Duluth, and the southern half of the western division that includes Verndale, Eagle Bend, Long Prairie, Little Falls, Freeport, Rice and Pierz. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: + Bachelor's degree required OR + Associate or technical degree required PLUS two years of related experience SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: + This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the employee's position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office. This position will report to Duluth, MN + Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as some travel is required. + This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: + The expected annual compensation range for this position is $52,000 - $64,000.
