Digital Printer Operator

Our client, a well-established printing and mailing company in Sterling, VA, is seeking a motivated Digital Print Operator to manage pre-press, file imposition, and the high-end production of quality commercial print materials.

Compensation: $22.00-$28.00

Location: Sterling, Virginia

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00P

Responsibilities:

• Operate high-end laser digital equipment and finishing machines to produce brochures, booklets, and direct mail.
• Utilize digital printing software to impose files and set up variable data for mail merges.
• Monitor control panels and adjust configurations to ensure content accuracy and quality.
• Read and follow work orders, layouts, and job tickets to meet tight production deadlines.
• Communicate with customers regarding file issues and production timelines.
• Load and offload paper and maintain a clean, organized workspace for safety.
• Perform quality checks on proofs to ensure they match job requests.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in a print shop production environment.
• Experience working with digital coloring
• Proficiency with digital print equipment such as Konica Minolta (highly preferred), Ricoh, or Canon.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
• Experience using the latest version of EFI Fiery preferred 
• Knowledge of mailing software, Excel, and both Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and bend/squat periodically.
