FLSA Status: Non-exempt

SUMMARY

 

Moves customers’ vehicles as requested and maintains service department cleanliness as directed by service management.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

Essential include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing debris as necessary.
  • Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
  • Makes key tags for vehicles.
  • Puts protective coverings in vehicles.
  • Empties trash containers throughout the service department and quick lane.
  • Picks up trash in the parking lot surrounding the service department.
  • Sweeps and mops service department shop and service offices.
  • Spot checks bathrooms as requested for supplies and cleanliness.        
  • Fills up bathroom supplies and cleans restrooms as needed.
  • Makes deliveries as required from parts department.
  • Ensures copy machines and printers have paper.
  • Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
  • Fills vehicle with fuel.
  • Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

 

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

REASONING ABILITY 

 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Valid Driver’s License
