PAY RANGE FOR THIS ROLE IS $25-$30 PER HOUR AND IS DEPENDENT UPON PREVIOUS RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS YOU HOLD BEYOND THE REQUIRED LICENSES.
Position Summary
Perform professional tree maintenance activities as directed by the Crew Leader by safely performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Climb trees, using climbing hooks and belts, or climb ladders to gain access to work areas
- Evaluate tree health for safety of climb
- Drive company vehicle up to an including a bucket truck as needed - CDL A or B preferred but Chauffeur's license is REQUIRED.
- Additional Tasks as needed/requested
Qualifications
- 1 or more years of experience in tree climbing and rigging
- Able to demonstrate working knowledge of basic climbing knots and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations
- Lift heavy objects over 50 pounds
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card (includes a Drug Test)
And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- CDL A
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Good work ethic
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Familiarity with the techniques and equipment used in landscaping.
- Ability to handle the physicality of our work: weather conditions, heavy lifting (30-80 pounds), and extensive walking.
