Job Description
Summary
Analyzes, documents, designs, and programs Clinical Information System applications, provides enhancements and maintains current applications to meet the needs of clinicians in providing quality, cost effective care. Responsible for developing, integrating, deploying, customizing, troubleshooting, and maintaining athenaIDX and related ecosystems.
We are seeking an Application Analyst for our Revenue Cycle Management team.
Prerequisites for Positions:
* Proficiency with both business and technical aspects of AthenaIDX. Must have strong back end system experience. Specifically within IBM AIX operating system.
* You have experience with Practice Management within AthenaIDX
* You have Healthcare Application Support - 4-6 years of experience (Preferred)
* You have strong experience with Athena IDX implementation, integrations, back end system configurations.
* Experience supporting development to monitor application and supporting users.
* Must have prior work and knowledge of AIX
* Strong SQL (able to write a stored procedures)
* Some Knowledge of IRIS database system is ideal.
* Some Knowledge of HL7 is ideal.
Responsibilities:
* Provides a high level of technical support (workflow development, testing, integration and implementation) of applications and interfaces which deliver IT tools and support business functions across the health system.
* Provide both Front End & Back end support for AthenaIDX.
* You will be importing data from various sources such as Cerner.
* Back end work in AIX OS.
* Scripting/Automation
* Development, testing and monitoring interface & API connections.
* Development, testing and monitoring automation solutions.
* Development, testing and monitoring of intergraded letters for billing; utilizing scripting tools such as SQL.
* Updates system and support documentation as necessary to reflect changes to programs, solutions, reports and interfaces.
* Log and monitor internal and external cases with vendors.
* Identify the common causes of the defects, prioritize them and systematically remove them so that they do not reoccur in further development work.
* Keeps abreast of the full cycle process to be able to resolve a wide variety of issues and identify opportunities for continuous service improvements.
* Work with department managers to research new functionality, and process improvements.
* Evaluates requests and consults in design for new or modified computer programs, solutions, reports and interfaces to determine feasibility and compatibility with current system.
* Identifies and recommends solution development for larger and complex projects and ensures best practice development.
* Formulates and develops plans at a high level and documents required steps to achieve stated requirements. Reviews plans with management/peers as appropriate.
* Act as the liaison between end users, and IT department for Enhancements, System updates and changes, and new initiatives
* Assist Department users by troubleshooting software and desktop PC related issues
* Assist with all department goals and initiatives.
