Job Description
Staffing Inc is partnered with a trusted ISO-certified machine shop and FANUC preferred integrator, located in Grand Rapids, MI, and is actively looking to hire qualified individuals for an Automated System Controls Engineer career, who are ready to start immediately.
The ideal candidate will be able to create, debug PLC/HMI programs while working with mechanical, electrical, management and customer to provide a reliable product.

Automated System Controls Engineer Responsibilities:
Create PLC/HMI programs from Design Review/Electrical/Mechanical Documentation
Configure and Test PLC/HMI programs when actual machine is ready
Vision Programming as necessary
Work with mechanical engineers to integrate control systems, wiring, and hardware into machinery
Collaborate with project managers to meet customer specifications and deadlines
Support ongoing service and maintenance of machinery, ensuring system performance
PLC Programming Experience (Rockwell, Siemens)
Automated System Controls Designer Qualifications:
To be considered for the Automated System Controls Designer position, applicants should:
Read Electrical Drawings
Write/Debug PLC logic (Rockwell Products required all others a Plus)
Write/Debug HMI screens (Rockwell Products required all others a Plus)
Troubleshoot/Understand PLC code from other sources
Proficiency In AutoCad Electrical or the willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams
• A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
• Previous experience with electrical systems, machine controls, or automation technologies
