**Job description**
1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)
Objective:
• Monitor and manage the operational performance of a supplier panel in terms of quality in collaboration with Quality job field, Supplier Quality Assurance and logistics from the selection phase to the series production phase
• Manage the action plans with suppliers in the event of recurrent performance drift, until there is a return to an acceptable level of performance
• In the framework of an established contract, obtaining and concluding the implementation of improvement plans with suppliers, enabling them to continuously increase their maturity level
• Guaranteeing the consistency of improvement actions initiated by all the parties in the supply chain responsible for the suppliers
2. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Main Function Responsibilities-
• Managing the quality and logistics performance of the panel suppliers in coordination with the procurement, supplier quality and purchasing teams.
A) Defining and coordinating the monitoring plan. Validating its implementation with the procurement and supplier quality teams. Validating the risk analyses and associated actions. Measuring and analyzing the efficiency of the monitoring and ensuring that it is capitalized upon and continuously improved.
B) Planning, coordinating and possibly conducting the following audits and assessments with suppliers: Capacity, Production Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Process, etc and ensuring that they are successfully concluded.
C) Conducting monthly consolidation of supplier performance. Ensuring the consistency of the measures taken by the suppliers. Establishing, distributing and sharing the scorecard.
D) Managing supplier ratings.
E) Providing an interface for any problems of performance with respect to the supply chain and program contacts of the Safran companies.
F) Assisting the purchasing director in preparing the supplier performance steering committees.
G) Consolidating and passing on the non-quality costs and logistics penalties in coordination with the buyer responsible for the supplier. Ensuring their payment.
H) Perform other duties as assigned.
**Candidate skills & requirements**
3. Qualification Requirements
A. Education & Qualification-
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar degree or Six (6) years equivalent education or experience required. Lean or six sigma Experience and a CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) is preferred.
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-
• Additionally Four (4) years of either Supplier Development, Supply Management, Supplier Quality or other area of expertise with direct supplier performance management in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of the development and production processes
• Knowledge of industrial management methods (kanban, MRP2, VMI, EDI…)
• Educational level: min. Bac +5 (Master's Degree equivalent)
• Mastery of Quality tools (AMDEC, 8D, Ishikawa, 5P, etc.)
C. Professional Skills-
• Cross-functional management
• Operational experience of over 5 years fully in contact with suppliers in a structure such as purchasing, supply chain, quality
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Project management • Lean-Sigma Greenbelt
• Strong knowledge of Procurement systems, operations, methods, procedures and “Lean Supply Chain”.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and produce presentations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
• Strong ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time/workload and delegate work in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines including management of concurrent projects.
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation and conflict resolution including the ability to address difference of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.
• Practical experience using standard supplier quality and process improvement tools (FMEA, statistical analysis).
• Ability to manage projects with multi-functional team, identify and recommend resources, identify potential issues/risks, etc.
• Computer Skills: Experienced with Microsoft Office and proficient Excel skills required.
• Demonstrated successful negotiation skills.
D. Behavioral Skills-
• Acts in accordance with company values and related competencies, also having basic understanding of prepared financial statements is a plus.
