About the Role
As a Housekeeping Associate at Spacious Skies Campgrounds, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of our campground facilities, lodging, and camp store — while also assisting with guest service and front desk support when needed.
This is not just a cleaning position. It is a highly visible, guest-facing role that works closely with the General Manager, Maintenance, Grounds, Front Desk Crew, and other team members to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable stay.
You are one of the faces of the campground — a trusted team member who helps set the tone for guest satisfaction. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
Spacious Skies benefits from operating as a collective. While this position is based at one specific campground, opportunities may arise to participate in brand-wide initiatives or assist at sister properties. In some cases, this may include temporary travel to support operations at another campground.
What You’ll Do
Campground Cleanliness & Organization
- Handle daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and stocking duties as requested by management
- Clean and tidy accommodations, bathhouses, camp store, and common areas to company standards within designated timeframes
- Ensure housekeeping projects do not interfere with guests’ enjoyment of facilities and amenities
- Maintain office equipment and supplies in good working condition
- Assist the General Manager with monthly cleaning supply ordering and inventory management
- Keep storage and housekeeping areas organized, stocked, and guest-ready
Guest Service & Team Support
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and resolve issues or concerns effectively
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Assist with front desk operations as needed, including check-ins and check-outs
- Maintain strong communication with front desk, maintenance, and grounds teams to ensure a smooth guest experience
- Provide guidance and support to team members to foster a positive work environment
- Address issues in a timely and solutions-oriented fashion

- Proven ability to provide exceptional guest service
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills

Working Conditions
This is a hybrid role that may work at the front desk when needed. The Housekeeping Associate is primarily responsible for cleaning lodging, amenities, and the camp store, which requires working with cleaning chemicals and supplies.
The position involves repetitive tasks using housekeeping tools, cleaning equipment, computers, and other office machinery. You will interact frequently with guests and must maintain composure and professionalism at all times — even in busy or high-pressure situations.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, and moving throughout the campground for extended periods
- Frequent bending, lifting, stretching, kneeling, and carrying supplies
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Performing repetitive cleaning and stocking tasks safely and efficiently
