Part-time Instructor, Flex Lab - Health Classes

Position Description:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching in a health-related class/program required.
• Computer competency required.
• Experience using an online learning management system preferred.
• Possess basic competency in all subjects offered in the FLEX classroom environment.
• Facilitate part-time health career classes in a flexible format, including but not limited to CMA, Nurse Retention, and Basic IV Therapy.

Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:

1. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.
2. Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.
3. Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.
4. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
5. Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.
6. Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. � prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)
7. Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program
8. Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.
9. Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.

Education:
Associates Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred. 
Current RN license to practice in Oklahoma required.

Shift: 
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10am - 2pm and/or 3pm - 7pm
Saturday: 8am - 12pm

Salary Schedule:
Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees

Hiring Range:
$40 per hour
