Job Description
A leading food manufacturing company is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join its 2nd shift maintenance team. This is a direct hire position offering competitive pay, long-term stability, and career growth within a reputable and expanding production environment.
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment. This includes troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, maintaining processing and packaging machinery, and ensuring the safe, efficient operation of all plant systems in a refrigerated environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical systems to the component level.
Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on food processing equipment.
Install, maintain, and repair motors, conveyors, coolers, and auxiliary systems.
Disassemble and reassemble slicing and packaging machinery.
Assist in equipment installation and movement.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on equipment and maintenance activity.
Support safety and GMP standards throughout all maintenance operations.
Required:
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
Comfortable working in a cold food production environment.
Willingness to work occasional Saturdays as needed.
Successful completion of a skills assessment during the interview process.
Preferred:
PLC troubleshooting or basic programming experience.
Experience with food manufacturing, packaging, or processing machinery.
Prior exposure to ammonia refrigeration systems or industrial utilities.
