Position Title: Assembler
Wage: $16.00 - $18.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm (Monday - Friday)
Join a hands-on manufacturing team in Schofield, WI where precision meets performance. In this role, you’ll work with raw metals and tubing to cut, form, expand, grind, and finish high-quality components using automatic saws, rollers, sandblasting equipment, and hand tools. Assembler Responsibilities:
- Read and follow work order instructions
- Use pallet jack to move pallets of product to different locations
- Use automatic saws to cut tubing and pipes, hosing–chop saws, and manual saws
- Read blueprints for cutting and building the parts
- Cut, trim and attach braided metal and attach to hoses
- Measure, compute and verify lengths of parts and drilling holes
- Log individual jobs into the system to track time and participate in time studies
- Place labels precisely on the product
- Watch for faulty, damaged, or nicked materials or packages to ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are being met
- Notify lead when assembly/component inventory supplies are low
- Communicate with co-workers in a positive, business-like manner
Requirements for Assembler:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Accurate counting and basic math skills ability to convert fractions to decimal
- Ability to work with hand tools, cutting machines, expander machines, presses and rollers
- Ability to learn and read blueprints
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time; shift duration 8 to 10 hours
- Ability to bend, turn, reach
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs regularly, and up to 35-50lbs occasionally
- Ability to work weekend and overtime hours as needed
