Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Self-Contained General Education Endorsement or CDE license
- Substitute Teacher License or Short Term Substitute License required
- Experience working with school-age students preferred, not required
- Skills in general education, special education, speech-language pathology, and classroom instruction are beneficial
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with fellow teachers and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a resource for students requiring special education services, adapting instruction to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work in partnership with classroom teachers and staff to foster a supportive learning environment
- Develop and deliver differentiated lessons that support diverse learning needs
- Monitor student progress, maintaining documentation and reporting as needed
- Support compliance with state, federal, and district regulations and best practices
- Engage in regular communication with students’ families and support personnel
