Five Below Summer Internship Program is ON! Our limited open positions for Summer 2026 focus on company strategic initiatives in the exciting environment of value-driven, fun-focused retail. We are seeking energetic, responsible go-getters with innovative ideas, ready to actively participate in company initiatives.

Location

Our alumni agree - we've got the magic balance of flexibility and immersion when our interns align with our HQ hybrid model. All applicants should plan to be in the Philadelphia area and have transportation/access to HQ (aka WowTown) throughout the entirety of the program.

Internship Details

• 10 weeks: June 1st- August 7th
• Full time - 40 hours/wk
• Paid - $19.50/hr
• Hybrid model - Reporting into WowTown Tues-Thurs
• Hands on, results driven projects. No coffee fetching here!

Project Details

The Visual Merchandising Intern will lead a comprehensive fixture analysis project designed to standardize measurements and evaluate fixture productivity across the fleet. This role will expand and version the current fixture list by documenting dimensions and configurations across all store prototypes, creating a centralized and standardized reference tool. Using this data, the intern will assess fixture capacity and calculate linear productivity to determine the value of each fixture within the selling environment.

By analyzing productivity across prototypes, regions, demographics, and volume tiers, the intern will help establish fixture-level hurdle rates that inform merchant product proposals and visual placement strategies. This work will directly support Visual Space Planning's ability to quantify what a fixture is "worth" and ensure consistent, data-driven decision-making across the organization. The project will also lay the groundwork for next-phase initiatives aligned with broader strategic guidance, equipping both Merchandising and Visual teams with actionable insights to optimize space productivity and overall store performance.

Requirements

• Must be actively enrolled as rising Junior, Senior, Grad Student or recent Grad with a relevant background. Those studying under an associate's certificate or similar program may be considered if coursework and skills fit the individual project requirements.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office products & remote meeting software
• Must be available for the full 10-week program as space is limited
• Must be a self-starter, highly passionate & detail oriented
• Active ability to problem solve & communicate effectively
• Knowledge and passion for our brand is a plus!

Desired Skills

• Degree area or experience in Finance, Business, or similar
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI
• Excellent attention to detail
• Effective critical thinking, problem solving, and project management
• Demonstrated professionalism
