General Laborer/Metal Fabricator

We are looking to expand our production staff in our Fabrication department.

To excel in this role, you should be dependable, hardworking and take pride in your work. The successful candidate would be a team player and have outstanding attention to detail.

Staring pay based on experience and work performance.

Responsibilities

• MUST BE ABLE TO READ TAPE MEASURE EFFICIENTLY
• Use of grinders, sanders, and other power tools
• Clean and inspect equipment
• Set up machinery to fabricate metal parts to match drawing
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance procedures on equipment
• Ensure duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Clean, organize and maintain the shop and shop equipment.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety
• Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
• Willingness to learn
• Experience using hydraulic press brake, shears, bandsaws, and other machinery is a plus.

Desired Experience

• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
• Team Player
• Blueprint reading skills a plus.
• Some mechanical experience preferred
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position; capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. at a time, capable of standing on feet for entire shift
• Alert, focused, and detail oriented
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Good time-management skills
