Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures for a 13-week travel assignment in Butte, MT.

Details
  • Outpatient medical group setting affiliated with a hospital system
  • Ultrasound department performing general and vascular studies (excluding ABIs, segmental pressures, echo, and breast)
  • 4x10 hour day shifts per week, 40 hours per week
  • After-hours call and weekend rotation required
  • EMR: Epic (charting)
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience
  • ARDMS registry required
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (must not expire prior to start date)
  • Associate's degree required
  • Proficiency in general and vascular ultrasound procedures
  • Strong image quality evaluation skills
  • Familiarity with sterile technique and infection prevention practices
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
  • License required if applicable
  • DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Perform ultrasound procedures per physician orders, ensuring image quality, patient safety, and continuity of care
  • Submit images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
  • Educate, position, and immobilize patients appropriately for ultrasound examinations
  • Coordinate examinations to ensure timeliness and quality of patient care
  • Maintain and charge department supplies; follow infection prevention and sterile technique policies
  • Communicate openly and effectively with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership
  • Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
