Assignment Details

• No Local Candidates within 50 miles
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: 11:00 PM ? 7:30 AM (Schedule Varies)
• Position: Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience within laboratory specialty
• Required Certification: ASCP, AMT, or AAB
• Facility will ONLY consider Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will NOT be considered

Experience & Skills Required

• Hands-on experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems
• Experience working in a large hospital laboratory setting (600+ beds preferred)
• Ability to perform accurate differentials, including neonatal differentials
• Comfortable working in a very high-volume, fast-paced lab environment
• Experience handling complex specimens such as:
  • Turbid samples
  • Platelet clumps
  • Abnormal cell findings
• Must be able to function independently with minimal training
