PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (cross credentialing at multiple facilities)
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required)
  
• Licenses: Active Louisiana Medical License (clean), CDS, DEA with LA address
  
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA with LA address, CDS required
  
• Certifications: ACLS, ALS required; PALS required if not board certified in EM
  
• Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine; CME and case logs from past 2 years
  
• Other Qualifications: Accepting IMLC and pending DEA; ECFMG if foreign medical graduate; TB results, flu vaccine, health attestation; Interview with Medical Director
  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergent and urgent medical care to patients of all ages
  
• Oversee and collaborate with advanced practice providers and support staff
  
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  
• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and consultations as needed
  
• Participate in quality improvement and maintain required certifications
