Job Description
Under general supervision, coordinates with patient care services the planning, design, development, implementation, functionality and evaluation of integrated clinical information systems that support and enhance clinical practice, administrative and management needs and patient outcomes. Acts as a resource with clinical knowledge and/or computer expertise to coordinate and provide support for all new and current applications and software upgrades applicable to the clinical systems. Assists in the analysis, design, testing and implementation of clinical information systems and solutions. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Conducts assessments of the clinical environment and identifies implications for system implementations, and may act as a facilitator for those changes in the clinical environment. Works with appropriate business partners and senior clinical applications staff to advise end-user training on clinical applications to ensure understanding of functionality.
Minimum Qualifications
A college degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Allied Health and 2 years experience in Information Technology (preferably experience in Clinical Operations), and/or a Clinical Area, preferably a combination of both clinical and IT technology.
This position is intended to support the implementation of the new Epic Lumens module for endoscopy and bronchoscopy. Prior experience as an Epic analyst or clinical background in endoscopy or bronchoscopy is preferred.
