This position is located in Fulton County and Hours are flexible.This position can work up to 28 hours if taking classes and up to 38 hours during the summer and/or academic breaks.
The 4-H Summer Assistant will work under the direction of the 4-H Youth Development Program to provide support to a comprehensive positive youth development program. The 4-H Summer Assistant will accomplish this through support and leadership. Duties for this position include: preparing for and helping with 4-H project judging at the county level; Assisting with Fulton County 4-H Camp; Providing assistance to the 4-H Youth Development Educator with the Fulton County Fair and all components of pre-fair activity such as: assisting with Jr. Fair Entries, pre-fair communications, livestock skillathon materials, and other fair duties as assigned.
This position may also assist the Ag/NR and Family Consumer Sciences Extension program areas in Fulton County.
Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees.Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment.Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role.Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
