Mental Health Specialist/Aide

Diamond Grove Center is searchingfor skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist. To be eligible for this position, you must be able and willing to work all shifts. This will be a PRN Position, in which you only work as needed. Hours will consist of 7:00pm-7:00am, 11:00pm-7:30am, and 3:30pm-11:30pm.

Diamond Grove Center is a 85 bed, behavioral psychiatric hospitallocatedin the beautiful neighborhood of Louisville, Miss. Diamond Grove Center features individual units for children, adolescents, and offers inpatient care acute care, as well as residential treatment for adolescents. As a Mental Health Specialist/Aide you will function as a member of the treatment team, and accepts responsibilities for specifically assigned duties, such as patient observation rounds, suicide risk observation, and assisting with treatment programs.Demonstratesexpertisein the performance of tasks necessary tomaintaina therapeutic milieu andoptimumpatient care.Maintainshigh levelof interpersonal relationships inter/intra departmentally.Displays good clinical judgement asevidencedby reporting verbally and in written documentation, all clinically pertinent observations of patients.Performs routine assignments independently. Seeks direction whenindicatedfor unusual or non-routine duties or situations as evidence by asking questions appropriately and promptly, to the designated person.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
2. Associates Degree preferred.
3. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
4. Ability to read, write, and forllow written and oral instructions.
5. Hospital Aide/Treatment Assistant Preferred.
6. Behavioral Science Field or equivalent.
