Casual Caregiver

You will have the daily opportunity to distinguish yourself by taking the time to be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their family members.\n\nWe currently have the following PRN (casual) shifts available:\n\nDay: 6:00 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.\nEvening: 2:00 p.m. – 10:15 p.m.\nOvernight: 10:00 p.m.

– 6:15 a.m.\n\nMinimum 4 shifts per month to remain PRN, prefer 8 – 10 shifts per month.\n\n**Evening differentials up to $1.00 per hour**\n**Weekend differentials up to $1.00 per hour**\n**Overnight differentials up to $2.00 per hour**\n\nWages $20.50 per hour to $24.16 + differentials (if applicable) per hour\n\nWe offer career pathing and training to qualified Health Services team members wishing to begin a career in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.\n\nYour responsibilities in this role include:\n • Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed - activities such as bathing, grooming, hygiene, dressing, mobility, and toileting\n • Build relationships with the amazing people who live in our community\n\nThe ideal candidate will:\n • Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers\n • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent\n • Be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification\n • Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment\n • Provide assistance and emotional support to residents using the Best Friend’s Approach to dementia care\n • Possess a willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality\n • Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members, and visitors\n\n\nBenefits:\n\nOn-call and temporary employees are not eligible to participate in employee benefits or insurance plans.\n\nWe are looking to hire individuals whose values align with ours and who believe in doing everything they can to lead by example in safety, compassion, and empathy.
