Driver & Mobile Event Operator – Join Our Growing Team

Odyssey Mobile Adventures is expanding and seeking an energetic, dependable Driver & Event Operator to support our mobile entertainment experiences throughout DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Delaware.

This role combines driving, hands-on event operations, and customer interaction. You’ll transport our custom trailers to event locations, safely position and maneuver them onsite, operate our mobile attractions (including Axe Throwing and Rage Room experiences), and return equipment to our Huntingtown, MD base.

What You’ll Be Doing:

At Our Huntingtown Headquarters:

• Prepare, clean, and organize trailers for upcoming events
• Participate in hands-on driver and equipment training
• Assist with general unit maintenance and readiness

At Event Locations Across the DMV:

• Transport trailers to and from venues
• Safely park and position units, including maneuvering in tighter spaces
• Set up and break down equipment
• Welcome guests into the experience
• Provide safety briefings and clear game instructions
• Offer tips and guidance while customers participate
• Maintain a safe, fun, and efficient environment
• Repack and secure equipment after events

Most events last 4–7 hours including setup and teardown, though timing can vary.

Who We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate is outgoing, responsible, and comfortable interacting with the public in lively event environments like breweries, festivals, fairs, and private parties.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 18+ years old
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable driving a truck with a pull-behind trailer (CDL not required)
• Familiar with GPS/navigation systems
• Available to work weekends
• Reliable transportation to Huntingtown, MD
• Friendly, high-energy personality
• Works well independently and as part of a team

Training & Growth

We provide paid training that includes:

• Operating all mobile units
• Trailer driving and maneuvering
• Backing and positioning in tight spaces
• Customer engagement and safety procedures

New team members are paired with experienced operators during their initial training period.

This position will begin as part-time or contractor-based, with the opportunity to transition into flexible 30–50 hour workweeks during our busy season. As we continue to grow, reliable team members will grow with us and take on increased driving and event responsibilities.
