Emerging Adults Housing Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY

This position reports to the Director of Supported Housing with the responsibility of supervising the day-to-day operations of the Emerging Adults housing program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintains all facilities at maximum capacity

  1. Receives and reviews all referrals for the housing program.
  2. Interviews all prospective participants for the program.
  3. Completes intakes on all participants moving into the program.
  4. Ensures that houses have needed supplies, groceries, etc. on a weekly basis.

Record keeping and Administrative Duties of the program

  1. Records time on a weekly time sheet, submits to supervisor by deadline.
  2. Submits monthly and quarterly reports by deadline.
  3. Collects, records, and turns in rent.

Maintains licensure and program compliance

  1. Performs unannounced quarterly site visits.
  2. Develops additional program components as needed.
  3. Inspects houses on a weekly basis for cleanliness and safety.
  4. Ensures required documentation is completed and filed in a timely manner.
  5. Ensures accurate record keeping in participants’ charts.
  6. Coordinates cleanliness of houses and grounds.
  7. Maintains medication in accordance with licensure standards.
  8. Ensures that all other licensure standards are met. cultural competence and diversity

Coordinates support services for participants

  1. Works with services providers and Emerging Adult Program staff to provide appropriate support services.
  2. Facilitates house meeting with participants.
  3. Develops in house services such as recovery groups.
  4. Participates in monthly supervision and weekly staffing.
  5. Coordinates transportation for participants in program.
  6. Ensure participants have proper medication.

Case Management responsibilities

  1. Maintains case load of program participants.
  2. Develops service plan and transition plan with input from participants within 14 days of admission.
  3. Handles crisis situations with face-to-face contact and development of a crisis plan.
  1. Transports participants when necessary to appointments and other community activities.
  2. Links and refers participants to appropriate services.
  3. Assesses participants current and potential strengths, resources, and basic needs in areas of substance abuse, mental status, general health, self-care, support network, training needs and consultation with the family.

Public/ Staff Relations

  1. Utilizes voice and email.
  2. Communicates regularly with other staff to meet the needs of participants.
  3. Develops appropriate working relationships with other mental health, social services and rehabilitation agencies.
  4. Works as a team player with other staff.

Program Development

  1. Assists with development of new housing and program components as needed.
  2. Assists with other development duties as assigned.

Other Duties as a member of Park Center

  1. Attends weekly staff and supervision meetings.
  2. Assists with overall program events.
  3. Participates in on – call rotate on.
  4. Has good attendance in the program and informs supervisor in advance of leave or other time off.
  5. Follows all personnel policies.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or another related field.
  2. Three (3) years’ experience in a mental health or social service setting, with at least 2 years working with youth in the same setting.
  3. Ability to work independently and with a team.
  4. Ability to meet deadlines.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Computer proficient in Word and Excel.
  7. Strong professional and ethical behaviors.
  8. Valid driver’s license.
  9. Must be able to show proof of personal automobile insurance.
  10. Must be insurable under Park Center’s automobile insurance.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Will have a desk, workstation, and an office.
  • Able to operate with many distractions.
  • Routine office environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Able to move or lift over ten pounds.
