Social Worker in Lansing, MI

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Social Worker position is available to support K-12 students at a school location in Lansing, MI. The contract role offers an opportunity to work onsite with a diverse caseload, providing essential social work services to support student well-being and academic success.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions with students
• Assessing students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
• Providing crisis intervention and support as needed
• Connecting students and families with community resources
• Maintaining accurate documentation and case records in compliance with district policies

Qualifications:

• Must hold a fully licensed LMSW credential through LARA
• Full Approval or Professional Certification as a School Social Worker through MDE is required
• No to limited license candidates will not be considered
• Ability to work onsite full time starting ASAP through June 5, 2026
