Lead Medical Assistant - Full-time

This position is responsible for assigning and assisting with patient preparation/rooming patients. The Lead MA keeps exam rooms clean and stocked. They will also clean and sterilize equipment/instruments as needed.nbsp;/ppbr//ppustrongDUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES/strong/uu:/u/pulliSchedules and oversees work activities of medical assistants under the direction of the MA Supervisor and Director of Clinical Services./liliWork collaboratively with the MA Supervisor to train and manage medical assistants in the performance of their duties by establishing priorities and expectations, setting goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues in a timely and constructive manner.nbsp;/liliAssist with clinic scheduling, problem solving, patient wait times, and other areas of concern to increase efficiency and quality services.nbsp;/liliAssist MA Supervisor with maintaining needed clinic supplies.nbsp;/liliAssigning and assisting with patient preparation/rooming patients.nbsp;/liliObtain medication prior authorizations, notifies patients of normal test results, and keeps exam rooms clean and stocked/liliCleans and sterilizes equipment as needed/li/ulpRequirements/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent/lili2+ years in MA position; demonstrated leadership in previous MA positions.nbsp;/liliMedical Assistant Certification or Licensed Practical Nursenbsp;/liliStrong verbal and written communication skills, including strong organizational, and interpersonal skills/liliDemonstrate excellent customer service skills in all interactions and communications with patients and their families, co-workers inter and intra departmentally, and visitors/liliComputer skills and knowledge of word processing/liliAbility to work with staff at all levels, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality/li/ulpustrongCOMPENSATION: /strong/uThe compensation range for this position is $19.00 to $22.
