Custodian - 2nd Shift (STF3360)

pspan style="font-weight: bold"Hours: 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.br/span/p pbrbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"RESPONSIBILITIES:/span/p p /p pEssential functions:/p p /p ul liDaily cleaning of buildings includes dusting, cleaning windows, floors, walls, and furniture, restroom fixtures, toilets, sinks, etc.  Includes the use of custodial tools and equipment./li liCustodians are responsible for maintaining the interior spaces from the ceiling to the floor.  This includes but not limited to cleaning light fixtures and replacing light bulbs, cleaning HVAC supply and return vents, and changing HVAC filters depending on their location./li liAssist other employees as needed./li liWillingness to work days, evenings, and/or weekend hours as necessary./li liArrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully perform the responsibilities of the position./li liComply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices./li /ul ul liServe actively on campus committees./li /ul p /p pSecondary –/p p /p ul liPerform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director and/or Coordinators of the Facilities department./li /ul p /p pspan style="font-weight: bold"QUALIFICATIONS (Essential):/span/p p /p ul liCustodial experience preferred./li liMust be a neat, clean individual portraying a positive image to students, staff and community members./li liThe ability to work as needed, including day, evening, and weekend hours substituting for absent coworkers./li liThe ability to cooperate with students, college personnel, and the community./li /ul ul liPhysical requirements include but are not limited to safely pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, stooping, walking, carrying, climbing, and regularly lifting up to 50 pounds; possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment, tools, etc./li liMay work in adverse conditions with possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissue, and communicable disease; understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; Visual acuity to view a computer terminal; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; Medium/Indoor and outdoor work environment/li liMental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position./li liPhysical and mental qualifications must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation./li liThe qualifications listed are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if sufficient to perform the duties./li liSuccessful completion of a physical capacity and drug screen required./li /ul pbrbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"HOURLY WAGE and STATUS/span:/p p /p pThe hourly rate of pay is $15.00/hour, an additional $.40/hr. shift differential for a 2nd shift totaling $15.40/hour. The employee in this position will work 40 hours per week.
