Watch for a glimpse into life at Select Medical!/p p /p p/p p /p h2Responsibilities/h2 pstrongWhat You'll Do/strong/p ul liWork as a team to ensure the office is working efficiently and that all calls are made promptly to potential patients and referral sources./li liResponsible for accurate procedure scheduling./li liEffectively communicates with patients, families, healthcare team members, the time of visit, visit expectations, facility directions, and web address to access New Patient paperwork./li liRequests an accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam. Provides instructions and specific preparations to the individual scheduling the procedure./li liReviews and evaluates scheduled appointments for completeness./li liPage 2 of 5/li liAssists with the pre-registration process by obtaining demographic and insurance information./li liReceives Physician orders and schedules procedures by both telephone and electronic media./li liObtains provisional diagnosis, Physician orders, and patient history to substantiate the requested treatment./li liCommunicates scheduling concerns to the Center Manager or market leader./li liCommunicate scheduled appointments with team members at the center and scan in any supporting documentation./li liPlace calls to patients for Prehab scheduling for pre-surgical appointments./li liWorks closely with the marketing department for additional opportunities to develop referral sources, as well as reports any barriers to receiving referrals./li liOther duties as assigned./li /ul h2Qualifications/h2 pstrongWhat Makes You a Strong Fit/strong/p ul liExperience in healthcare scheduling, customer service, or a call center environment/li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills/li liStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy/li liAbility to multitask, stay organized, and adapt to changing needs/li liA positive, patient‑focused mindset/li /ul pstrongMinimum Requirements/strong/p ul liHigh School diploma or GED./li liTwo years of experience in the healthcare field dealing with customer service./li /ul pstrongPreferred Qualifications/strong/p ul liIndustry Specific Customer Service Certification preferred./li liAssociate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR 2 years’ experience in a similar role./li /ul h2Additional Data/h2 pSelect Medical’s Outpatient Division is a nationally recognized, locally focused leader in outpatient physical rehabilitation, with more than 1,900 locations across 46 states and the District of Columbia.
