This position involves scheduling, staffing, and enhancing our fitness offerings to ensure an engaging and high-quality experience for our community./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliManage and oversee the Group Fitness program and staff./liliSchedule and staff monthly fitness classes./liliRecruit and, when necessary, terminate employees./liliIntroduce new class formats while discontinuing low-performing sessions./liliMaintain regular communication with staff regarding facility and schedule updates via email, GroupMe, and text messaging./liliFacilitate semi-annual group fitness meetings./liliEvaluate staff performance and provide necessary professional development./liliOversee equipment maintenance in group fitness rooms, reporting issues to the Operations Department./liliManage and update group fitness social media platforms./liliMonitor class attendance and assist with online scheduling using the Acuity Scheduling platform./liliMaintain no-show records and communicate with patrons as needed./liliPlan and implement special events, pop-up classes, and engagement activities./liliPromote new classes, holiday events, and special programs./liliMaintain both digital and paper employee records./liliConduct an annual performance evaluation for each group fitness employee.nbsp;/liliEnsure all staff maintain current certifications in group fitness and CPR/First Aid/AED./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliMust actively teach regular classes within the Group Fitness schedule./liliCurrent Primary Group Fitness or Personal Trainer Certification from ACE, AFAA, or NASM (other certifications may be accepted with prior approval from the Recreation and Fitness Manager)./liliCurrent CPR/First Aid/AED certification for adults from the American Red Cross./liliStrong understanding of physiology and anatomy, as well as solid aerobic endurance, strength, and flexibility./liliAbility to effectively integrate music and choreography./liliExcellent interpersonal skills./li/ulpbr//p
