The Team Member is responsible for performing assigned duties and works within the framework of GWH’s Mission and all policies and procedures. To ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and stewardship of GWH to maximize profitability to enhance our Mission./div div /div divbEssential Duties and Responsibilities:/b/div ul liProvide excellent customer service always./li liGreet each customer and assist with basic questions about store operations and merchandise./li liAssist customers with finding desired items, as well as loading and unloading merchandise as needed./li liResponsible for merchandising of all products by maximizing presentation and floor layout./li liPlace all hard and soft goods inventory from racks and carts to the sales floor in a timely manner./li liEnsure store recovery is accomplished by maintaining merchandising standards./li liComplete the 5-minute drill for the assigned area./li liRetrieve shopping carts from the parking lot or surrounding areas./li liPerform necessary housekeeping janitorial work for all sales floor areas including dressing rooms and bathrooms, keeping them free of dust, dirt, merchandise, trash, and clutter./li liAssist with the security and safety of GWH Team Members and property./li liMust report all work incidents and injuries immediately./li liOperate electronic cash register, credit card devices, and/or electronic Point of Sales (POS) payment management system./li liRemove hangers from cash wrap when needed and maintain an organized cash wrap area./li liMust meet production standards and ensure that all products are consistently being rotated on the sales floor./li liNotify Management of low or overstocked merchandise./li liPerforms other duties as assigned by Management./li /ul div /div divbAdditional Responsibilities:/b/div ul liDemonstrate professionalism and present a friendly, cooperative attitude./li liaAbility to multi-task, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. /a/li liAdheres to all GWH Policies amp; Procedures, Loss Prevention amp; Safety Regulations, and GWH Guiding Principles./li lia/aaMust be punctual and have dependable attendance and maintain an appropriate appearance./a/li liMust conduct work in a safe manner; maintain good housekeeping standards, have all aisles and pathways to fire exists clear and free from clutter, and keep work areas neat and clean./li liAdheres to local, state, and federal laws and regulations./li /ul div /div divbMinimum Qualifications:/b/div ul liHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred./li liExcellent customer service skills./li liAble to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division./li liAbility to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types./li liRetail sales experience is preferred./li liMust have reliable transportation./li /ul div /div divbKey Performance Indicators (KPI):/b/div ol liBudget Sales vs, Actual Sales/li liIndividual Average Transactions/li liChange Round-Up as a % of Transactions (gt;30% and higher than the previous year)./li liWork Integrity: Follows established procedures and processes donations timely with a sense of urgency./li liQuality of Work: Attitude, sense of urgency, productivity, individual safety performance, etc./li liTimely GWH LMS completion (training, etc.)/li liSafety Culture: zero (0) accidents or near misses/li liAttendance: Work schedule as assigned, notify leadership as needed, and no reoccurring issues./li liImage: Personal image, keeps work area/location clean, safe, and organized with no donor creep./li liTimely GWH LMS completion (training, etc.)/li liCustomer Ambassador Program (CAP): Receiving surveys (getting customers to participate) and favorable feedback./li /ol div /div divbPhysical Requirements/Work Environment:/b/div divThe ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, reach, kneel, push, and pull. Able to lift, up to, 40 lbs. and, occasionally, lift/move items, up to, 100 lbs. (e.g., large bags of donations, televisions, furniture, etc.) Must be able to stand for extended periods of time./div div /div divAn indoor work environment with occasional exposure to outside temperatures.
