This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment under the guidance of the Shop Manager. The position involves performing mechanical repairs, maintaining both diesel and gasoline equipment, conducting inspections, completing preventive maintenance, addressing vehicle deficiencies, maintaining accurate repair records, and ensuring shop safety./ppstrongMajor Duties and Responsibilities:/strong/pulliPrioritize and address projects requiring immediate attention./liliPerform repairs as directed./liliAssess vehicle condition through inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn or damaged parts./liliEnsure equipment availability by following preventive maintenance schedules, installing upgrades, and controlling corrosion./liliAssist with the fabrication of new equipment or builds as instructed./liliCorrect vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, and hydraulics; including machine shop operations, adjustments, and alignments./liliVerify vehicle performance through test drives and adjustments to controls and systems./liliEnsure compliance with federal and state vehicle standards by testing engines, safety systems, and combustion control./liliConduct field visits in case of emergencies or sudden breakdowns./liliMaintain shop equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and arranging for repairs when necessary./liliKeep inventory stocked by monitoring supplies, placing orders, and verifying receipt./liliStay updated on job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and reviewing technical and regulatory publications./liliContribute to the reputation of the maintenance department by taking ownership of new tasks and seeking opportunities to add value to job performance./liliMaintain a clean and safe work environment./liliPerform other duties as assigned./li/ulstrongQualifications:/strongpstrongEDUCATION:/strong/pulliHigh School Diploma or Equivalent is required./liliTechnical training in Mechanics is preferred./li/ulpstrongEXPERIENCE:/strong/pulliA valid driver's license with at least 5#xa0;years of clean driving experience is required./liliClass B CDL is preferred, but not mandatory./liliExperience in repairing heavy trucks (gas and diesel vehicles) is required./liliWelding experience is required./liliProficiency with small hand tools, as well as chainsaws, trimmers, and leaf blowers is essential./liliAbility to travel as needed./liliExperience working on sweepers, catch basin trucks, and tractors is required./liliFlexibility to work overtime as needed./liliMust have your own set of tools./li/ulstrongAdditional Information:/strongpstrongBenefits/strong/pulliChallenging and rewarding work environment/liliCompetitive Compensation/liliExcellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan/lili401(K)#xa0;/liliGenerous Paid Time Off/liliCareer Development/liliPay Rate: $29-32/li/ulpstronguCome be a part of the DeAngelo family, today!#xa0;/u/strong/ppDCSAM is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all hiring and employment regulations.
