pDescription/ppbr//ppstrongPosition Summary:/strong/ppPrimarily responsible for providing the safety of TLD property during the daytime and possibly after-hours. Is familiar with and comply with TLD standards and procedures. Also watch, listen, and report any unusual, illegal, or dangerous activities occurring on the premises./ppPatrols all areas of the property. Able to monitor cameras, I.P. camera system, perimeter, alarm systems, and fire amp; life safety systems./ppstrongTasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:/strong/pulliConsistently adhere to all TLD and department policies and procedures./liliConduct regular patrols of the property’s interior grounds and perimeter./liliPatrol buildings, parking lots, gates, and other designated areas as needed or assigned. Able to monitor cameras, I.P. camera system, perimeter, alarm systems, and fire amp; life safety systems./liliEnsure all doors and buildings are secure; lock any open or unlocked areas./liliRespond promptly to alarms, both during daytime and after hours./liliCoordinate with and support Public Safety agencies as needed./liliCommunicate with relevant departments for after-hours emergencies or issues./liliProvide safety training, including golf cart safety, pepper spray, fire extinguisher, stop the bleed and all other related department training courses for TLD team members./liliMay be asked to become First Aid and CPR/AED Instructor certified./liliProvide First Aid and CPR to guests or staff in need of medical assistance./liliAssist guests with transportation to their vehicles or the gift shop as needed./liliEscort Vendors and Contractors that need access to zoo grounds and see that they are held to safe operations while on TLD grounds./liliCommunicate with relevant departments for after-hours emergencies or issues./liliOffer directions and answer any questions guests may have./liliProactively monitor and address guest behaviors to prevent potential safety concerns./liliProvide additional support for day and night events, including TLD Gala, event dinners, or luncheons for the zoo./liliMust be able to identify problems using investigative processes to analyze and evaluate complex information and ability to utilize creativity, innovation, best judgment, and logical reasoning to resolve these problems./liliAssist in checking safety equipment and materials are in good working order and up to current standards.
