Midway Cashier

pspan style="font-weight: bold"Job Overview/spanbrThis position is responsible for selling ride and carnival tickets, Pay-One-Price Wristbands, and the redemption of pre-purchased midway items to patrons during the annual San Diego County Fair, providing excellent customer service for the Midway Admissions department.br/p pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:/spanbr• Provides excellent customer service by interacting courteously, answering questions accurately, and resolvingbrcomplaints for customers attending events.br• Performs credit card transactions accurately.br• Uses ticketing system to sell and redeem e-tickets and Pay-One-Price Wristbands and reload e-tickets.br• Understands and explains ticketing policies and procedures to customers.br• Courteously listens to and resolves customer issues with patience and respect.br• Complies with all procedures and guidelines for all payment transactions.br• Adheres to opening and closing procedures and reconciles daily transactions.br• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested when needed.br/p p•span /spanspanPromotes the District's F.A.I.R. values by creating a quality guest experience for both internal and external customers./span/p pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Qualifications/spanbr• Ability to interact with the public and staff in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner.br• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, good judgement and professionalism, customer service focused, quick learner with organization and problem-solving skills.br• Detail-oriented with the ability to apply basic mathematical skills.br• Being bilingual is a plus, as our patrons may speak a variety of languages.br• Basic knowledge of computer programs like Microsoft Office.br• Ability to adapt to change and can respond with patience in a difficult interaction with patrons.br• Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays (Fourth of July)./p pbrspan style="font-weight: bold"Working Conditions/span/p p• Work is performed in a variety of settings, which may include inside ticket booths, outside at kiosk stations, tented redemption sites, mobile sales/redemption among patrons, or in line on busy days, often in a moderate to high noise environment.br• The duties of this job may require the employee to sit, talk, and listen for extended periods. Must be able to sit in a confined ticket booth for extended periods of time.br• Repetitive motions are necessary when using ticket scanners and ticketing system.br• Work may require moving supplies (up to 20 lbs.) to selling locations./p
