Housing Searcher (as needed) – forensic mental health program - Part-time

pDue to continued organizational growth, Liberty Healthcare Corporation is now hiring for multiple new as needed Housing Searcher positions to support the California Conditional Release Program./p pThis is a statewide program which exclusively serves adults who have a history of committing sexual offenses./p pWith community safety as the top priority, the program seeks to support clients so they may live healthy and productive lives in the community./p pProgram objectives include:/p ul liCommunity safety/li /ul ul liPreventing client recidivism/li /ul ul liTransitioning clients from hospital treatment into the community/li /ul ul liSecuring housing/li /ul ul liProactively detecting and addressing client needs and risk factors/li /ul ul liProviding outpatient behavioral health services, intensive case management, 24/7 monitoring, and transporting clients/li /ul pAs a Housing Searcher, you will focus on identifying appropriate housing in the community for program clients./p pSpecific responsibilities will include:/p ul liResearching and analyzing the rental housing market in predetermined counties/li /ul ul liGenerating lists of potential housing options for existing and new program clients/li /ul ul liEvaluating and assessing housing options for alignment with client conditions of release/li /ul ul liDeveloping relationships with landlords and property managers/li /ul ul liTraveling throughout the region to conduct onsite in-person inspections of properties/li /ul ul liCollaborating with Libertyrsquo;s Housing Coordinator, Regional Coordinators and Case Workers/li /ul pThis position will allow you to partially work from your home office and require you to regularly travel throughout the region./p pYou can expect to be paid $35.00 per hour and will receive reimbursement for approved mileage and travel expenses./p pYou are a good fit for this position if you have relevant professional experience or if you have worked as a case manager, social worker, supports coordinator, parole officer or in a similar role in which you have coordinated housing or other community supports for parolees or people who are experiencing mental illness./p pYou should be self-motivated and able to work well with a high degree of autonomy.
