Employ a range of suitable strategies to foster student learning, develop and maintain required records, and promptly assess student performance. This supervision shall include but is not limited to the following:/p pPrepare appropriate plans, materials, and learning activities for students to achieve the learning outcomes of each educational session./p pOrient students to the clinical unit/learning environment./p pSelect appropriate learning experiences for the assigned student group(s), i.e., client/patient assignments, activities, and planning clinical conferences./p pObservation of the studentsrsquo; performance, guidance of the studentsrsquo; performance, review of procedures and principles as necessary, on-the-spot instruction as appropriate./p pEvaluation of studentsrsquo; performance in writing as required and verbally, as needed, on an individual basis, including written feedback on but not limited to the following: Plans of care and other assignments./p pDocumenting observations and/or any appropriate incidents which may occur during the learning experience./p pConsulting with students individually and/or in groups to: review and/or evaluate progression towards learning outcomes and identify teaching strategies that could be reinforced or adjusted./p pUtilize the established evaluation criteria for measuring student learning. Upon evaluating such performance for each instructional period./p pForward all required documentation of student progress by the date due./p pMaintain any student records appropriate to regular college procedure and assessment practice./p pUse evaluation forms as designated to obtain evaluation feedback regarding performance./p pMaintain a cooperative, positive relationship with the staff on any unit of the healthcare facility assigned to facilitate the optimum learning environment for the students./p pMaintain effective, on-going communication with the Lead Instructor (and/or Director of Nursing Programs if appropriate) concerning student progress and/or concerns./p pAttend all meetings as scheduled./p pArrange and complete an orientation with the clinical site unit manager to learn the assigned clinical unit and meet the mandatory requirements of the clinical site./p pSubmit appropriate materials as required. Focuses energy to improve student outcomes.brnbsp;brSkill in: Nursing practice, oral and written communication, interpersonal relationship management, and project management.bremsp;brstrongQUALIFICATIONS/strongbrAn appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. nbsp;An example of an acceptable qualification is: Masterrsquo;s Degree in Nursing preferred or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; and a minimum of two-years nursing education experience desired.
