We are looking for a Maintenance Apprentice to provide support and solutions in our ever-changing food manufacturing environment./p pnbsp;/p pnbsp;strongEssential Functions/strongnbsp;/p ul liAssists Maintenance Technicians on repairs,nbsp;nbsp;/li /ul ul liRepairs or replaces defective parts.nbsp;/li /ul ul liMakes necessary adjustments to functional parts of devices and control instruments, based on production requirements.nbsp;/li /ul ul liPerforms preventive maintenance on equipment based on schedule or immediate needs.nbsp;/li /ul ul liCreates and enters work orders for necessary repairs. Allocate and documents hours worked on applicable work orders.nbsp;/li /ul ul liDisassembles and assembles production equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.nbsp;/li /ul ul liInstall, move and relocate machinery/equipment according to drawings.nbsp;/li /ul ul liPerforms other duties as assigned.nbsp;nbsp;/li /ul pnbsp;/p pnbsp;strongBasic Qualifications/strongnbsp;/p ul liMinimum of 2 yearsrsquo; experience operating wrappers and packaging equipment.nbsp;/li /ul ul liSome Experience in maintenance or related fields can be beneficial, especially for those with some experience as maintenance technician.nbsp;/li /ul ul liBasic knowledge of troubleshooting bearings, belts, sprockets, chains, and any other moving parts in the equipment.nbsp;/li /ul ul liAbility to make recommendations on spare parts, lock-out-tag-out, and machine Guarding.nbsp;/li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongDesired Qualifications/strongnbsp;/p pnbsp;Knowledge using hand tools and power tools.nbsp;/p ul liStrong Mechanical Aptitude and knowledge of equipment functions.nbsp;/li /ul pnbsp;/p pnbsp;strongCompetencies/strongnbsp;/p pnbsp;Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.nbsp;/p ul liAbility to write routine reports and work orders using a tablet.nbsp;/li /ul ul liAbility to follow directions.nbsp;/li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongWork Environment/strong nbsp;/p pWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to hot/cold environment, wet and/or humid conditions. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $28.00 and $30.00. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus, shift differential pay, overtime compensation.
