h2ubJob Description/b/u/h2p style="text-align:left"uTime Type/u:/pPart timep style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"uRole Details/u:/ppbTime Type: Part Time/b/ppbStarting Pay: $16 / HR/b/ph2bJob Location: 2031 Loop 306, San Angelo, TX 76904/b/h2p/pp/pp/ph2ispanJob Summary:/span/i/h2pThe Sales Associate will assist customers with purchasing merchandise.     /ph2/h2h2ispanSupervisory Responsibilities:/span/i/h2ulliNone./li/ulp/ph2ispanDuties/Responsibilities:/span/i/h2ullispanGreets and interacts with customers./span/lilispanConsults with customers to understand needs and preferences related to available merchandise./span/lilispanDemonstrates and explains available merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs./span/lilispanEmphasizes product features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders./span/lilispanRetrieves desired merchandise from sales floor and/or yard; places special orders where appropriate and required./span/lilispanBuilds and maintains customer relationships by entering new customer data and other sales data for current customers into a computer database./span/liliAssists customers in resolving complaints, including escalating them to management when appropriate./lilispanInvestigates and resolves customer problems with products or services./span/liliOperates the cash register accurately using the UPC scanner, quick key, and product keywords./liliAccepts money in the form of cash, checks, and credit or debit cards for items purchased./lilispanProcesses returns and exchanges according to store policy./span/lilispanAssists with stocking and restocking products, front-and-face products on shelves, and assisting with housekeeping./span/lilispanPerforms other related duties as assigned./span/li/ulp/ph2ispanRequired Skills/Abilities: /span/i/h2ulliExcellent customer service skills.  /liliGood verbal communication skills. /liliThe ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners./liliBasic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds./liliBasic and intermediate knowledge of building products and local building codes. /liliKnowledgeable about the company’s products and services, as well as customer-related policies.  /li/ulp/ph2ispanEducation and Experience:/span/i/h2ulliA high school diploma or equivalent is preferred./liliSuccessful completion of on-the-job training; completing levels 1 and 2 of the positional training offered. /li/ulp/ph2ispanPhysical Requirements: /span/i/h2ulliProlonged periods of standing and working on the computer or related equipment./liliMust be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times, and occasionally lift/move up to 80 pounds. /liliMay need to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays./liliThe ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods./li/ulp/pp/pdivdivdivdivpspanMcCoy’s is an equal opportunity employer.
