Asphalt Paving Screed Operator / Laborer - Full-time

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining asphalt paving equipment, with a primary focus on operating the asphalt screed. Your expertise in achieving precise grades, proper mat thickness, and a smooth finish will be vital to the success of our projects./p pResponsibilities:/p ul liOperate and control the asphalt screed to ensure proper thickness, width, and smoothness of the asphalt mat./li liMonitor and adjust the screed's temperature, vibration, and other settings to achieve optimal performance./li liCollaborate with the paving crew to maintain a consistent flow of asphalt and ensure efficient paving operations./li liConduct regular inspections of the equipment to identify any maintenance or repair needs./li liAdhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your team./li liComplete required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner./li liCommunicate effectively with the project manager, crew members, and other stakeholders./li liWilling and able to do what it takes to be a part of the team to execute daily productions and goals./li /ul pQualifications:/p ul liPrevious experience operating asphalt paving equipment, with a specific focus on asphalt screed operation./li liIn-depth knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, including grade control and surface finishing./li liAbility to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and grade stakes./li liProficient in troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment issues./li liStrong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision to achieve desired results./li liExcellent communication and teamwork skills./li liValid driver's license/li liAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment when necessary./li /ul pCompensation:/p ul liSalary Range: $24.50 to $33.00 per hour Based on Skill Level/li liCapital Blue Cross Medical Insurance/li liDental and Vision Insurance/li liCompany Paid Life Insurance and STD/li li401K with a Company Match After/li liEmployee Assistance Program/li liEligible for Company Bonus Program/li liPaid Time Off/li liCompany Paid Annual Family Picnic/li /ul pAt Schlouch we are “One Team”.  All team members must be prompt, reliable and able to communicate effectively.  All employees are required to have a valid Driver’s License and meet minimum background check and physical exam requirements per company policy./p
