CNC Swiss Machinist

Overview: p style="margin: 0px;"span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;"This person will be the subject matter expert (SME) for the Swiss Machining team.  The CNC Swiss Machinist will perform set-ups, operate, troubleshoot and verify the quality of work in the CNC Swiss Machining area.  This position performs routine or repetitive operations that meet production standards and quality requirements.  /span/pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;"2nd Shift: 2pm-10pm (Monay-Friday)/span/p Responsibilities: ullispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Set-up and operate CNC Swiss machines. (Citizen L12 and L20)/span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Command, retrieve, input, edit CNC programs, detect errors and adjust as needed./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Adjust tools and replace as necessary./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Ensure written manufacturing and other procedures are being followed. Ensure proper compliance with company policies and quality regulations./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Read and understand layouts, job travelers and blueprints./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Have a good understanding of tooling and tooling applications./span/lilispan style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: verdana, geneva; color: #000000;"Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Follow set-up procedures and recommend improvements./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Troubleshootspan style="text-decoration: line-through;"s/span complex machining job problems without supervision./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Assist operators in machining parts to specification, perform measurements, visual checks and examine results on all products for visual and dimensional defects to ensure conformance using precision instruments such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, OGP, etc./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Assist in process development with engineers, technicians and supervisors./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Be involved with and perform pre-production and program validation related to changes in new products and tooling./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Recognize problem and/or unsafe processes and recommend alternatives./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Train new and existing operators in proper manufacturing and quality procedures for production./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Ensure preventative maintenance duties are completed for equipment and maintain a clean and safe work area./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Employee must conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner and is responsible for maintaining a high standard of conduct and job performance./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Actively participate in continuous improvement activities. /span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Other duties as assigned. /span/li/ul Required Qualifications: ullispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"High School diploma or Equivalent; degree or certificate in Machine Tool Technology./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"2-4 years’ related experience and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Familiar with operating Citizen L12 and/or L20./span/lilispan style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: verdana, geneva; color: #000000;"Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and can work well as a part of a team./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Ability to adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities and processes./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Ability to work under minimal supervision./span/lilispan style="color: #000000; font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Strong communication and organizational skills. /span/li/ul Preferred Qualifications: ullispan style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Prior experience and/or training in production setting and comparable manufacturing preferred./span/lilispan style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Proven understanding of tooling requirements to setup and operate CNC Swiss machines, including pre-setting of tools./span/lilispan style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Ability to read and edit programs. /span/lilispan style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;"Familiarity with ISO Quality System, particularly in medical device manufacturing./span/lilispan style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications./span/lilispan style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"Strong math background, preferable in machine math/shop math. /span/li/ul Compensation: p style="margin: 0px;"span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 9pt;"The span class="mark6t58xev3n" data-markjs="true" data-ogac="" data-ogab="" data-ogsc="" data-ogsb=""compensation/span for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications.
