The Shop team supports a culture of continuous improvement by participating in training, reinforcing standards, reporting, and mitigating unsafe or undesirable conditions, and utilizing the corrective action program. This position may regularly require 20% travel. Position Scope: Position reports to CGS Maintenance Foreman The incumbent in this position must be able to communicate across all levels of the organization. Knowledge of plant equipment functions including safety rules and rigging, construction and maintenance practices. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex mechanical problems and make repairs. Safety Consciousness, Contributing to Team Success, Technical/Professional Knowledge, Work Standards and Communication.brbrbrPRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESbrbrPerform maintenance and repair work on plant equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, fans, bearings, pipe systems, valves and limit torque operators. (disassembly, part repair or replacement, assembly) using sound technical decisions regarding maintenance on complex mechanical equipmentbrAdheres to the conduct of maintenance and established maintenance standards and practices.brPerform assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner at the direction of Maintenance Management.brDemonstrates strong maintenance skill on various pumps, valves, and balance of plan (BOP) equipment in a safe and reliable manor using the correct tools, equipment such as rigging, fork trucks and cranesbrExecute work package when assigned.brInterpret and understand power plant prints.brAbility to work on cross-functional teams on major projects.brProvide technical support to plant operations, maintenance staff and engineering to the level of training received.brPerform verification checks on maintenance items covered in maintenance technician training./divh3Job_Category/h3divTechnician/divh3Minimum Education Required/h3divHigh School/GED/divh3City*/h3divBaltimore/divh3Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities/h3divMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSbrbrAssociates Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics with minimum of 3 years of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology ORbr5 years' experience in Maintenance Tech II or equivalent years of experience with trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or relevant field experiencebrSuccessfully complete the training requirements and time in job requirements for the position including previously passing the MASS testbrValid driver's license and access to an insured vehiclebrAbility to lift a minimum of 50 poundsbrAbility to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing and walking long distancesbrExposed to heat with reduced stay times, dust, smoke, dirt, high noise areas, confined and cramped work areas, and a nuclear power plant environment including Radiation Dose Exposure.brWorks at high elevations on ladders and scaffoldsbrWorks shift work or weekends as required including OvertimebrPerform tasks inside radiological controlled areasbrMaintains nuclear qualifications IAW CGS Specific training program.brMaintain Radiation Protection Qualification and training, including respirator qualifications as neededbrAbility to obtain unescorted nuclear plant accessbrBasic computer skillsbrGood oral and written communication skillsbrThis position may require approximately 20% travel within company nuclear and Non-nuclear plant fleetbrPreferred Qualifications:brbrLicensed ElectricianbrCommercial HVAC certifications (Such as: NATE or EPA 608)brProficiency with building automation system software such as Johnson Controls, Niagara or GE Lighting SystemsbrMechanical skill and aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair/divh3State*/h3divMaryland/div/div
