Will support both cyclical and non-cyclical work, independently preparing work to be accomplished by studying manufacturing process instructions and quality work instructions, gathering parts, tools, and materials as required. Sets up equipment needed for assembly/inspection as per Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI’s) and Quality Work Instructions (QWI’s)./pp/pp3. Understands own tasks and how they relate to others in their team. Works under minimal Supervision. Will follow Standard Work where applicable./pp/pp4. Understands overall production flow within their department. May perform significant non-cyclic work for the department./pp/pp5. Assembles component parts as per print. Utilizes both manual and automatic machine operation./pp/pp6. Visually and/or dimensionally inspects parts and/or completed assemblies for conformance to specifications. Identifies and escalates quality non-conformances./pp/pp7. Completes required Device History Records and other manufacturing documentation per Good Documented Practices (GDP)./pp/pp8. May package assemblies for shipment./pp/pp9. Actively participates in “flex break” programs as required./pp/pp10. Participates in team activities focusing on process/product improvement, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction./pp/pp11. Expands skill base through on the job training, cross training and classroom instruction./pp/pp12. Performs other functions as required./pp/ppbJob Requirements Minimum/b/pp/ppbEducation/b: High school graduate or equivalent./pp/ppbMinimum Experience/b: 3-5 years light assembly experience in a regulated industry required; medical device experience preferred./pp/ppbSpecialized Knowledge/b: Computer proficiency. Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed instruction. Must possess the ability to recognize obvious defects in workmanship. Demonstrates competency in multiple critical assembly processes./pp/ppbSpecial Skills:/b Excellent communication skills required. Familiarity with microscopes and measuring devices required. Certification for industry specific assembly requirements such as IPC soldering standards for the Medical device and Military markets desired.
