div pstrongOverview/strong/p pLifeWise Academy is seeking volunteers to assist children in their LifeWise classes. LifeWise Academy is a Bible-based character education program that exists to reach public school students with the gospel during school hours./p pstrongJob Responsibilities/strong/p ul liModel positive behaviorbr / ul liStrive to model godly character/li liSet the example for classroom behavior/li liActively listen during Bible lessons/li liParticipate in classroom activities/li /ul /li liDevelop relationships with students ul liLearn the students' names/li liGet to know the students/li liPull up a chair or walk around the room during activities and chat/li /ul /li liAssist with classroom management (as needed or directed)/li ul liAssist the teacher(s) with students who behave inappropriately during class/li liStand or sit next to the student/li liRemind the student of the desired behavior(e.g., listen quietly)/li liRelocate the student to another desk (away from other students) if the inappropriate behavior continues/li /ul liHelp with classroom activities ul liPass out pencils, pens, crayons, Bibles, papers, etc./li liHelp lead class games/li liSit with and provide extra help to students with special needs/li /ul /li liEscort students to the restroom ul liStand outside the restroom while the student is inside/li /ul /li liChaperone children to and from their LifeWise classes (as needed)/li liOther responsibilities as assigned/li /ul pstrongQualifications and Experience/strong/p ul liA mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the "What We Believe" section of thea href="https://lifewise.org/statementoffaith/" LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith/a/li liActive participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of thea href="https://lifewise.org/statementoffaith/" LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith/a/li /ul p /p pemLifeWise Academy's hiring practices and EEO Statement are fully in compliance with both federal and state law.
