Performs stress echocardiography as well as billing/clerical duties where assigned. The majority of tests are scheduled; emergent testing is occasionally required./p/span/ppspan lang="EN" style="font-size:10pt"Responsibilities:br /pVascular Ultrasound: Performs diagnostically adequate examinations of various arteries and veins. Locates and records internal elements of the body such as vessels, organs and tissues; and displays their position and function. Identifies any anomaly indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant condition of the blood vessels from ultrasound imaging and simultaneous recordings of the Doppler. /ppPatient Education: Instructs patients in correct pretest preparation. Obtains signed consent for stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms. Independently and thoroughly instructs patients on each test performed to assure compliance and to guarantee a good quality test. /ppbr //ppAccommodates the patient’s condition by variations of technical factors; extends standard test methods; changes conventional methods to produce diagnostically acceptable results; develops new or revised procedures using standard techniques; or refines existing procedures. /ppCompletes preliminary reports and submits in a timely fashion. Sterilizes equipment as required and notify the clinical supervisor of any mechanical problems.
