Responsibilities include interviewing prospective employees, communicating job performance expectations and safety rules to subordinate employees, training subordinates in job duties and safe operation of equipment, planning, assigning, directing and monitoring work of the crew; evaluating performance; commending or recommending corrective or disciplinary action, approving leave; addressing employee complaints and resolving problems.
