If this is a fit for you then, please apply today. /ppbr //ppstrongPosition Summary:/strong/ppUnder the direct supervision of a certified special education teacher, the paraprofessional will provide support to the teachers by assisting students both academically, behaviorally and with their activities of daily living within the classroom./ppbr //ppstrongEssential Job Duties:/strong /pulliWork as part of a classroom team to support academic instruction and behavior management/plans./liliExecute lessons as directed by the teacher or classroom lead. These may include supporting independent work, special projects, teaching a lesson to a small group or running discrete trials with students./liliFollow behavioral supports and behavior plans as directed./liliAssist students in participating in classroom routines, transitions and self-care tasks (as necessary)/liliCollect data on behavior and academics as directed./liliImplement behavior strategies in alignment with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies)./li/ulpstrongPhysical requirements:/strong/ppThe physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully/ppperform the essential functions of this job.
