Your role involves analyzing financial information, reviewing patient benefits and liabilities, and securing financial approval for procedures. You will counsel patients on financial considerations throughout their care journey and recommend coverage plans tailored to their needs. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, you will help deliver exceptional care while addressing financial complexities. /span/span/ppspanspanHere’s what you will experience working as ab Transplant Financial Coordinator:/b /span/span/pullispanspanReview benefit requirements and start the request for authorization approval for the transplant evaluation, admission, clinic visits, work-up and testing, organ procurement, and post-transplant services. /spanbr /span  /span/span/lilispanspanReview benefits for appropriate coverage for services. Review contracts and obtain clarification from contracting as needed. /spanbr /span  /span/span/lilispanspanMeet with patients and family members at the time of transplant evaluation; explain to the patients the anticipated costs of transplant services and patient responsibilities (i.e. post-transplant meds); help patients and families create a financial plan when benefits are not sufficient to cover transplant costs. /spanbr /span  /span/span/lilispanspanCoordinate with Intermountain Contracting Services to create single case agreements for self-funded or international patients.  /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanCoordinate with Intermountain transplant clinical teams, social workers, etc., the patient’s financial situation, expected coverage and out of pocket expenses, additional funding sources as well as any potential concerns.  /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanInteract with transplant clinical staff and patients to obtain patient demographics to begin the insurance verification process.  /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanProvide continuous financial counseling based on the patient’s benefits and calculate the estimated post insurance expenses for the patient.  /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanFollows transplant policies and procedures as they relate to obtaining the financial approval. Coordinates these policies and procedures and works closely with the transplant billing team to ensure compliance.  /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanHelp coordinate referrals to external transplant programs when the patient’s insurance is out of network. /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanReview and resolve any issues related to the patient’s insurance coverage. /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /spanbr /spanbRequired Skills: /b /span/span/pullispanspanIdeally 2 years’ experience in a financial role (financial counseling, etc.) or 2 years of health insurance related experience (billing, authorizations, etc.).   /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanCustomer service experience preferably in healthcare or financial related field. /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanDemonstrated outstanding public relations and interpersonal skills by maintaining supportive interpersonal relationships with caregivers, patients, families, sponsors and team members. /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanOrganized. Multi-tasker, able to complete work timely and accurately. /span/span/li/ulpspanspan /span/span/pullispanspanSelf-starter and team oriented, flexibility to adapt to change, ability to work with minimal supervision. /span/span/li/ulp/pFor this US-based position, the base pay range is $21.00 - $28.87 per hour .
