Coordinates all aspects of revenue cycle function including but not limited to appointment scheduling, registration, arrival/departure functions, visit preparation, verification of insurance eligibility, authorization of procedures, pricing estimates, co-pay and co-insurance collections. br /br /2. Ability to work independently and with others on routine tasks, to follow written and oral instructions, referring special problems or unusual situations to the appropriate supervisor. br /br /3. Provides excellent customer service to patients and their families upon arrival in the Dental Clinic in a professional, efficient and congenial manner.br /br /4. Educates and assist the family of their financial responsibility and payment options in a confidential and professional manner. br /br /5. Responsible for the registration process of patients arriving in the Dental Clinic.br /br /6. Collects and verifies insurance information from patients.br /br /7. Completes any additional clerical duties as assigned by Dental Clinic Management team. br /br /8. Quality Improvement Expectations include documentation of patient account activity, registrations and insurance/benefit information.br /br /9. Experience in Patient Access, Patient Accounts or Customer Service, and the revenue cycle preferably in a dental or medical setting is required. br /br /2. Ability to type 25 words per minute is preferred. br /br /3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written is required.br /br /4. Strong customer service, problem-solving and organizational skills are required.br /br /5. Experience with medical terminology and ADA/ICD-CM coding is required. br /br /6. Experience working with various levels within an organization is required.br /br /7. Experience in healthcare is preferred.br /br /8. Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required. br /br /9. Experience working in an electronic medical record system (i.e. EPIC) is preferred.br /br /bEducation and Experience/bbr /1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.br /br /2. Certification: None.br /br /3. Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred.br /br /4.
