The Food Runner is responsible for food preparation, cooking and heating foods for service, maintaining the Hot Food Case/Bar and Salad Bar, while delivering excellent customer service.br /  br / strongEssential Duties:/strong/p ul liPrepare food for the salad bar and hot case, ensuring organized and efficient cooking and heating./li liCook and heat prepared foods for service under time and temperature guidelines./li liStock and present the hot case and salad bar in an appealing way throughout the day./li liSet up the salad bar, soup station, and hot bar/case within specified time standards./li liMaintain a well-stocked service area, handling tasks such as changing pans, labeling, restocking, and cleaning./li liUphold quality food handling standards, including proper preparation, rotation, and storage in compliance with health regulations./li liMonitor and maintain proper temperatures in the hot case, recording temperature logs./li liAssist in preparing soups and other menu selections./li liProvide exceptional customer service by assisting customers on the floor./li liKeep the work area clean, sanitary, and well-stocked, complying with Health Department regulations./li liOrganize daily menu production based on the production list./li liEnsure accurate department signage with product ingredients./li liFoster open communication and cooperation with Deli/Kitchen staff and assist customers within Customer Service Standards./li liKeep areas well stocked with packaging options./li /ul pstrong Other Responsibilities:/strong/p ul liCollaborate with team members to achieve department and store goals./li liAttend scheduled department and store meetings./li liSafely use knives and other equipment according to guidelines./li liAdhere to deli department and store policies outlined in the Staff Member Handbook and Injury and Illness Prevention Plan./li liMaintain a clean and neat appearance in compliance with the Dress Code policy./li /ul pstrongWork Environment:/strong/p ul liWork under various conditions and temperatures, wet and dry, for extended periods./li liSafely operate around kitchen machinery and sharp knives./li /ul
