QUALIFICATIONS:/strong/p ol liDemonstrated ability to effectively carry out the duties of the position and comply with the policies/procedures set forth by the Principal, Athletic Director, and the Moses Lake School District./li liExhibited knowledge of the sport, demonstrated technical skills, and successful experience teaching these skills to secondary school student-athletes./li liValid First Aid and CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain prior to start of season./li liAbility to meet WIAA age requirements applicable to the position./li liExhibit the organizational skills and abilities 400;"Demonstrate knowledge of modern trends, techniques, strategies, playing rules and procedures./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Assist the head coach in carrying out his/her responsibilities./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Organize, supervise, and evaluate practice sessions./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Implement a safety plan that includes teaching of the proper techniques and fundamentals./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Adhere to all safety rules./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Have an emergency medical plan in place./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Inform parents of individual players regarding attendance, discipline, and injury./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Relate to staff members in a professional and effective manner./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Demonstrate appropriate sportsmanship with athletes, peers, and the public (particularly at sporting events)./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"Assist the head coach in scheduling and providing transportation to sport events./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Adhere to scheduled facility times./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Instruct team members as to changes in the rules and teach fundamentals of the sport as outlined by the head coach./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Attend all staff meetings and carry out scouting assignments as outlined by the head coach./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Secure all doors, lights, windows and locks before leaving building if custodians are not on duty./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Instill in each player a respect for equipment and school property, its care and proper use./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Arrive early enough before practice, contests, and meetings to adequately prepare, and remain long enough afterwards to help players with problems or to become involved in staff discussions./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Help in the planning and implementation of both in-season and out-of-season conditioning and weight programs./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Never criticize, admonish, or argue with head coach or any staff member within hearing or sight of players or parents./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Strive to improve skills by attending clinics and using resources made available by the head coach./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Examine locker rooms before and after practices and games, checking on general cleanliness of the facility./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of specific sports equipment./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"span style="font-weight: 400;"Complete mandatory SafeSchools training annually./span/li li style="font-weight: 400;"WIAA standards require all coaches to
