If you're interested in this position, apply on the program's webpage./p pstrongQualifications and Experience/strong/p ul liA minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or/li lichurch setting/li liA mature personal Christian faith in agreement with thea href="https://lifewise.org/statementoffaith/" LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith/a/li /ul ul liActive participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of thea href="https://lifewise.org/statementoffaith/" LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith/a/li /ul pstrongJob Description/strong/p ul liComplete Initial and Ongoing Training/li ul liComplete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course prior to teaching/li liParticipate in the annual LifeWise Summit each year/li liAttend at least one Teachers' Lounge or one LifeWise Meet-Up per year/li liStay up to date on training and updates by regularly checking LifeWise email/li /ul liTeach LifeWise Classes/li ul liUtilize the LifeWise curriculum to lesson plan and map out curriculum customization/li liImplement the LifeWise curriculum in the classroom/li liInvest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them regularly/li liCultivate an organized, encouraging and engaging classroom environment through various teaching strategies and discipline that is redemptive in nature/li liApply LifeWise policies, procedures and resources/li /ul /ul ul liMaintain Records/li ul liTake attendance in each class and provide attendance records to LifeWise program director and/or school officials as needed/li liMaintain accurate class rosters including health concerns, special needs of students and photo permissions as noted on parent permission slips/li liPrepare adequate information and materials for a substitute teacher as needed/li /ul /ul ul liMaintain the Classroom/li ul liMaintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom/li liKnow procedures for dealing with emergency situations/li liPurchase classroom supplies as needed using funds provided by program director/li /ul /ul ul liCommunicate/li ul liAct as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community/li liAttend annual school open house and other outreach events as available/li liMaintain ongoing dialogue with school personnel to stay apprised of class schedule changes and ensure student well-being/li liBuild relationships with volunteers and keep them apprised of schedule changes/li liSubmit regular updates, stories and photos to program director/li liPromote and communicate LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions, ensuring alignment with the organization's core values and beliefs/li /ul /ul pstrongBenefits/strong/p ul liRetirement plan, including employer match/li /ul p /p pemLifeWise Academy's hiring practices and EEO Statement are fully in compliance with both federal and state law.
